Bike Drive with the CT Bike Project  

"Please save your used bikes -- adults or childrens -- for a good cause taking place in the fall. Temple Israel and the Social Action Committee -- with help from the Religious School's Chesed Club --  are sponsoring a Bike Drive with the Connecticut Bike Project on Sunday morning, September 26. Kids' bikes will be given to needy children and adult bikes provided to adults who cannot afford cars to get to work and social services appointment

What is the Religious Action Center?

The Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism (“the RAC”) is the Washington, DC, office of the Union for Reform Judaism (Union). The RAC has been the hub of Jewish social justice and legislative activity in the nation’s capital for more than 40 years. The RAC educates and mobilizes the American Jewish community on legislative and social concerns, advocating on issues from economic justice to civil rights to religious liberty to Israel.
